Cambridge Chronicle and more
After months of working with journalist Sarah Andrews and photographer Christine Hochkeppel, the Cambridge Chronicle published an article called on the front cover of its July 20th edition.
The subject was a client and friend of mine, Emily Hill, and her husband Bill Ristenpart. Their newly born son is Alexander "Xan" Dray Hill Ristenpart. Read the article for a wonderful birth story that explores Emily's birth choices and her experience of birth!
More birth in the media- An article called "The Mother Lode of Pain" was published in the Boston Globe last week. Read for yourself, but my opinions all point to how one-sided the article is! Getting an epidural is not a bad choice to make if it's the right choice for you-- neither is natural birth. Yet the author makes it seem ridiculous to have a natural birth. How frustrating.
Well, Emily's story sure is a good counterbalance to the one-sided pro-epidural article :)
